Our Why? – Our Vision: To develop models by which disadvantaged zones of villages, towns and cities in India and other developing countries can transition to be clean and healthy places to live.
Our How? – Our Missions: – To develop effective solutions for problems related to sanitation, waste management and hygiene behaviour, which are environmentally friendly and socially just – adapted to rural, peri-urban and urban zones where the poor live.
– To teach and train stakeholder groups such as communities, school children, college students and policy makers on issues related to water, sanitation, waste management and hygiene behaviour for community engagement towards sustainability.
To these ends, FIN is active in the development of frugal innovations, community actions, education and social science research.
