NIT Karaikal students learn about FIN and sanitation!

We have 31 NITs or National Institutes of Technology in India. NIT Karaikal is one among them. It is situated in Thiruvettakudy, Puducherry with the best students from across India. Prof. Shyama V. Ramani visited NIT on Oct 7th with her FIN team. She started the workshop by asking them general questions and projecting the collective answers on the screen in the form of word maps! You can read some of the interesting questions and answers in the photos. Imagine the state the most represented in our workshop in Tamil Nadu is Rajasthan. Less surprisingly students found the Indian education system to be the biggest societal problem in India, followed by Caste, Discrimination, Gender, and Reservation. After such a dialogue, Prof. conducted a sanitation quiz workshop in which 35+ students and 5 faculty members participated actively. The whole program lasted for more than 2.5 hours and it was greatly appreciated by the NIT students.

FIN team is very thankful to NIT Director Prof. Dr. K. Sankaranarayanasamy and Prof Dr. Madappa V R Sivasubramanian for inviting us to NIT to conduct the workshop. We are looking forward to collaborating more with NIT Karaikal in the future.
