– Prior to lock-down – March 1-14: During the first half of March, while the staff was informed of the coronavirus situation in Europe by the founder, life continued as usual in Kameswaram. The basic rules of hygiene behaviour for protecting against coronavirus were discussed with our staff. All understood the need to cough into a kerchief and wash it after use or to cough into the elbow.
On March 13, a workshop was conducted in the Vairavankadu Panchayat school on waste management and the protection behaviour against corona virus were explained. Children were made to repeat it several times and this was confirmed so that their parents could be informed.
